Musical Theater
Musical theater provides opportunities to sing, dance, act, and perform other theatrical roles on and off stage. Students can perform or carry out non-performance responsibilities, such as costume design and wardrobe, stage management, set design, choreography, assistant director, house management, and other production duties. Students will also learn, over time, specialized skills such as juggling, magical feats, and mime. Students will learn the tricks of the trade, perform, and host musical theater performances.
Youth ensemble meets twice weekly or double-hour once weekly. Students rehearse in the ensemble as well as receive regular and periodic coaching and individual instruction on their role. Recital performances and other performance opportunities.
How Do I Get Started with Musical Theater?
All new (non-member) participants in youth ensembles must audition. We hold auditions on various Saturday mornings throughout the year. At this audition, we will gain an understanding of the student’s needs, abilities, and best placement options. After your audition, you will be able to enroll for studio membership and ongoing ensemble participation.
Member students do not need to audition. Please talk to your teacher and reach out to the front office.
